From: Rick Conn <rconn@brl> Charles, The following is a sample FTP session from BRL (a UNIX system) in Maryland to SIMTEL20. I am using the universal signon of "ANONYMOUS" as the user name and anything (I like "ANON") as the password. Naturally, your FTP may be a little different, but the basic idea is there. Hope this helps. Rick P.S. I've forwarded a copy of this to INFO-CPM, thinking that others may have the same question. Hope you don't mind. ---- Session Follows ---- ftp simtel20 Connected to SIMTEL20. 220 SIMTEL20 FTP Server Process 5T(14)-7 at Mon 26-Sep-83 19:32-MDT /other/rconn/.netrc: No such file or directory Name (SIMTEL20:rconn): anonymous Password (SIMTEL20:anonymous): 331 ANONYMOUS user ok, send real ident as password. 230 User ANONYMOUS logged in at Mon 26-Sep-83 19:32-MDT, job 8. ftp> dir "micro:<mc.unix>" 200 Port command accepted. 150 List started.
