I am using a CompuPro 8088/8086 with 643K memory, hard disks, and floppies. I run MP/M with mods installed by Gifford, the company we bought it from. We need to communicate with the Central Computing Facility here at LANL and have been using a program supplied by Gifford. Unfortunatly, there are problems with this program, like losing random characters which would disastrous for the application we have in mind. SO, instead of starting to write our own simple comm. program, I want to check out UMODEM and/or anything else available for a system like mine. Would someone point me to what I should look at/acquire at SIMTEL20 ? Any advice and pointers is appreciated. Bryan Bingham ...ucbvax!lbl-csam!lanl-a!bb
