[net.micro.cpm] Possibel source of Simon's Basic

jacobson@uwvax.UUCP (11/02/83)

Yesterday, I received a catalog from J&R Music World (Fall 1983,
catalog 830A). On page 187, it lists
   Commodore 64 Software
   Programming Series
V64 Simons Basic (Cartridge) retail price-$34.95 your cost-$19.95

I've never done any business with this company, so I can't vouch for
them. As a matter of fact, a section named Shipping & Delivery says
All orders are processed immediately upon receipt. Actual
shipping time is contingent on availablity of merchandise and
credit verifications. Every effort will be made, either at the
time of taking the phone order or in writing shortly thereafter,
to inform you of anticipated delays.
If you have placed an order for a product which has not been
released by the manufacturer, and you have decided not to wait
for delivery, we will be happy to send a refund within 7 working
   days.

That implies to me that J&R charges you credit card when you order
rather than when they ship. Ask them about it and about product
availability if you order.

They have a minimum order of $25.00 (they list lots of C64 programs
from UMI, Sirius, Commodore, Timeworks, Power Byte, and HesWare),
shipping is 5% ($3.95 minimum), and they charge 15% for restocking
returns. They are
