[net.micro.cpm] U.S. Robotics S-100 212A modem query

In a recent Byte, I saw that Priority One is selling the new U.S.
Robotics S-100 212A 300/1200 autodial/autoanswer modem for something
like $379. I just got the manual on the beast and it seems to be
pretty good, although they have done some strange things to allow
variable baud rates... I was wondering if anybody actually has one of
these things, and if they do, what their reactions are to it.

Please post replies to the USR S-100 212A modem to the net. Now that
PMMI has dropped their S-100 212A, USR is the only one of the things
I know of. Comments on other 212A modems would be greatly appreciated.
