[net.micro.cpm] getting files via MDMXXX from TOPS-20...

I guess I am doing a silly thing, but I keep fouling up
in trying to use MODEM on TOPS-20.  Can someone pls help?

in particular, I set up my MDM712 for use as a terminal.  
Then, I say to TOPS-20 the following

   @modem s foo.bar

TOPS-20 responsd by saying READY TO SEND.

I then exit to MDM712 and say RT FOO BAR.

This procedure works using MMODEM on ITS, but 
no luck on TOPS-20.  Help?
