[net.micro.cpm] CP/M Fn 37?

dgilbert.es@PARC-MAXC.ARPA (01/16/84)

Having not used function 37, I have a dumb question. Are we only
talking about MP/M or CP/M86 systems when referring to fn. 37?
David Cortesi, in 'INSIDE CP/M' says fn. 37 is for MP/M only, not
CP/M 2.2. Is David wrong about this too???

CP/M 2.2 The confusion happens because many of the older CP/M
manuals, including alas the one distributed with Compupro CP/M
2.2 systems, stop with Function 36 and do not even mention
37-40. Fn 37 returns a 0 in A to be compatible with MP/M

Incidenteally Tony installed CP/M 8/16 tonight with a new
Compupro hard disk. I love it. Huge TPA even with 8-bit stuff
since all the CP/M goo is in memory above 64K and the 8088
handles disk ops fast fast fast...
