Tom Reid <treid@Mitre-Gateway.ARPA> (11/19/84)
I have been trying to bring up an old PD MODEM7 as a bootstrap to getting MDM730 and/or Kermit up on an Ithaca Intersystems 525/800. Their documentation (such as it is) indicates that the base port address for the VIO board is 00H and 20H for the 6SIO board. The MDM730 M7VIO overlay for the Ithaca VIO board uses 20H. I have used DDT to set both 00H and 20H as the modem (serial port # 1 - console = 0) base address. When I try the terminal mode, any character typed is bursted back on the terminal at 9600 baud, but ^E will get back a menu. Receive and send do not work either. It has gotten this poor boy confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Is there a good tutorial on how to determine your system map and addresses? Tom Reid (703) 883-6556 (wk) (703) 689-0091 (hm)
