I have some CP/M systems. I find them quite usable, although it seems
more knowlege of how the system works is required than on an ms-dos system.
I use wordstar which your message says you would avoid. I think MINCE is
avalable on CP/M, I know it is avalable for MS-DOS. ( Mince Is Not Complete
Emacs ) .
I would say for the novice user who just wants to use the computer and
rarely or never get technical use the Sanyo ( Zenith has a nice machine
also )
I do not know about the sanyo. IBM's are like Chevy's.... not too hot
but they get the job done and have lots of support available. They will
be around for a long time (sigh). I do not reccomend the color graphics adapter
as the charicters have serifs and other features that make them less readable
than the more expensive monochrome monitor setup.
( if you want to play games... get the color adapter if you want to edit
get the monochrome. )
Hope this does not add too much to the confusion
