I in the past have used the rather crude method of switching to a slower line speed and sending a few characters then switching back to the original line speed. This worked with GTE Telenet, but I don't know about other systems. I know this is rather crude, but being rather crude is better than suffering through many lines (or pages) of unwanted information. The only other solution that I know of is using some hardware-specific feature of the particular computer that you happen to be using. There is no implementation of a break key in regular CP/M. --Paul Woodie
