spangler@kvue.UUCP (Lance Spangler, Producer) (01/16/85)
I'm a new user of USENET, as well as a novice at
computing in general. But for the last two months (Since KVUE
became a USENET station) I have read several articles making
reference to SIMTEL20, and the software that is available there.
My questions are these:
Is SIMTEL20 a public access BBS?
How does one go about getting access to it?
What is the phone number?
I have one other question as well. There have been
several articles which have made reference to a CP/M mailing
list. How would I go about being added to the list?
I am a television producer in Austin, Texas, and use a
portable Zorba 8-bit CP/M machine quite a lot at both home and on
the road. My general applications are word processing and
telecommunications. Thank you in advance for your assistance
in this matter.

The only access to SIMTEL20 is via ARPANET (and MILNET). As a result, the
majority of USENET people have no way.
If you are an ARPANET novice, ask your guru about anonymous ftp.
