[net.music] Hawkwind and Moorcock"s Deep Six

D3U@PSUVM.BITNET (02/21/85)

Moorcock made an album in the early to mid seventies with members of Hawkwind.
Moorcock plays banjo and guitar, and I think he sings on it, too.
the lp is New World's Fair by Michael Moorcock"s Deep Six. The songs are fairly
straight forwardly rock'n'roll or folky with spacy interludes of voice with
space sounds that join the songs together as continuous music. But the music
doesn't get metal or heavy as Hawkwind. It's a space rock lp that approaches
the space--rock interface differently from what hardcore space excursionists
would expect. You may even get fans of JTull, Steeleye Span to like this lp.
Unfortunately it is a rare import lp in the US, and probably long out of print.
