I just picked this up from the Sysop Clearinghouse RCPM: Date: 03/05/85 From: Bill Duerr Re: SAP41 A message on TCBBS stated that SAP41 wrecked disks! I had to try it, Sure did! Compare SAP41 to SAP40 and in the "CLNLOP" routine of SAP41 there is a jump: JC FIL$E5 in SAP40 it is: JZ FIL$E5 This would replace each valid directory with "E5"s.

You know, guys, that's a REALLY elegant bug - a mere JZ changing each valid directory entry to E5! I've never done that well with MY bugs! Usually at least a half dozen different incorrect instructions to just trash part of my hard disk! My congrats. Regards, David Kirschbaum Toad Hall
