Moorcock wrote a story centered around members of the band as it was
in the early seventies. This short but delightful book was called The Time of
the Hawklords (or maybe "In the Time of the Hawklords). The band is the hero
of the hippies, who are being plotted against by the evil political power lord.
This book is probably out of print. I haven't been able to find it in stores.
