<Food for thought, if line eaters can think.> I would like to know what the difference is between Xmodem and Modem7 protocols. I have a program on my UNIX(tm) system that says it supports Modem7, and one on my home machine that talks Xmodem. The two almost talk to each other but stop doing so about half way through the transfer. It seems to be a problem in how to treat bad packets. I have the source for the UNIX(tm) based program but not for the one on my home machine. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks. -- ------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Salzman, Tektronix Inc. | The more complex the mind, P.O.
