[net.micro.cpm] downloading trough a TAC

Some time ago, there was a long discussion about how to download and
upload using XMODEM when going through a TAC (as opposed to being
directly connected to the host machine).  Can someone pls summarize
for me what to do (settings for the TAC, etc)?
