[net.micro.cpm] Kaypro-II Video Problem Solved

ira@slovax.UUCP (Ira G. Chayut) (06/16/86)

Earlier I posted an item describing a problem where my Kaypro-II video
would cease horizontal scanning. I "played" a bit with the components
and connectors when this conditioned occurred and found that there is a
4 conductor connector towards the front left of the machine that had the
solder on the pin on the board which connects to the blue wire neatly
"eaten away." Resoldering the pin seemed to fix the problem. Luckily,
the pin was accessible through one of the vent holes on the bottom of
the Kaypro so I didn't have to disassemble the unit.

Hope this helps someone else.
