Can someone explain the practice of giving "LU" type library files the extension .LLB instead of the default .LBR? This seems to be happening with some regularity in the more recent SIG/M volumes - the "-CATALOG" file will say .LBR, but on SIMTEL20, the actual file will say .LLB! This seems a bit strange. Frank, I believe the reason for the .LLB designation was to circumvent LU's restriction on including .LBR files, which was designed to avoid recursion. --Frank

I think you're right about the original LU program, but I am using LU86 - a CPM-86 version of LU by a different author, and the documentation says it will allow LBR files to be put into an LBR file, which gets rid of the need for .LLB files.
