Not yet, but soon-to-be-released: (These are all mainstream, but have not yet
been released; I plan to buy them when they are...)
1. Alpha Flight, by John Byrne (Marvel)
This is about a band of Canadian superheroes. Sounds great, eh?
Well, I personally like the heroes, the author, and the artist
(although I still think that Byrne should demand that Austin
ink his stuff for him...), and plan on enjoying it. The canucks
were introduced in X-Men 120 and have appeared a grand total of
once since then. For those of you who know the team, the six
introduced in the X-Men will be joined by two more, and not all
eight will appear in each issue.
2. Hawkeye, by Mike Gruenwald (Marvel) (4 issue series)
Don't really know too much about this, except that I like
limited series, and limited series about archer super-heroes
can be well done, so...
3. Cloak and Dagger, by Bill Mantlo and Rick Leonard (Marvel) (4 issue series)
Cf. above.
4. Illyana and Storm, by Chris Claremont and John Buscema (Marvel) (4 issue
series)
At last! We get to find out what happened to Illyana those
seven lost years in Belasco's limbo! Hot diggedy! Not to
mention, this is almost certainly where Ororo will let her
weather-control powers atrophy and take up Magic.
5. X-Men and the Micronauts, by Mantlo, Claremont, and whomever. (Marvel)
(4 issue series)
No details yet, but this should be fun.
Well, that's all for now (and, I hope, for some time to come: My wallet can
only stand so much of a strain.)
Next time: Everything you ever wanted to know about "Milton Wombat, GI".
