I want to find out how people feel about Gil Kane's Superman. There seems to be some controversy about it. I like it. Not to downgrade Curt Swan -- most people know Superman the way Swan draws him -- but Kane's adds needed dimension to Supes. Any comments out there?

If there is one thing that I dislike it is someone that answers a question without having seen the thing in question. This is what I am about to do about the question of Gil Kane's Superman. I have not seen the comic, I have no intention OF seeing the comic. Every character that Gil Kane draws reminds me of Hal Jordin (the first Gil Kane character I ever saw). I have heard of people that were discribed as "having chins so sharp you could open a can with them." Well all of Kane's characters have knees, calfs, and elbows that you could open cans with. I think he was to much of a product of the fabulous 50's when cars had "tail fins" and Gil has been drawing people as if they had them. Again, I apologize for commenting without seeing the comic, it COULD be quite good, but Gil is a particular disfavorite of mine. Gee is was nice to get that off my chest! OZ seimso!rlgvax!oz
