[net.comics] x-men ad

     Just a few weeks ago, our local paper, The Oregonian, had an
advertisement in it for X-Men #174(?), showing the cover with Master-
mind holding an image of Scott and Je..Madelyne (sp).  This was the
only comic in the ad and it was followed by a list of stores where
one could purchase the issue.  Being relatively new to the comic
world, I was wondering if this was the first time a single issue has
been the subject of an ad.  If not, what other issues have also been
the sole feature of an ad in a major newspaper?

On a related subject... there are persistent rumors floating around that
there may be a live-action X-Men movie in the works.  Can anyone confirm
or deny this?
