Re: Comics becoming more complex...

I think the trend for "obscurity" started with ElfQuest.
They were the first ones to play serious games with the margins,
lettering, style, and plot. Since that time, I have noticed
quite a bit of fanciness, some to excess.

Re: Giving away the plot too soon in X-Men

A few messages back, someone said they were disappointed that
the latest X-Men plot gave away Mastermind because "Phoenix" blew
up New York. Oh come on!! Mastermind was on the COVER of the
previous ish., how could you think it was anyone but him??? (But
what if Madyline Summers really IS Jean Grey?? It is not beyond
the power of Phoenix to duplicate herself, and then erase her own
memory & powers..... Nahhhhhhhh.... couldn't be...)

Re: New pensiler

I HATE the new pensiler for the X-men!! Did you see what he
did to Storm?? Nightcrawler??? Beast?!?!?? YEEEAACHHH!!!
Perhaps if the departing pensiler was not so good it would be
a little easier to take. As it is, this new guy seems to only
be able to draw attractive females well (aka Madyline & Ariel).

Re: Marvel Freaks

I have never been a fan of one particular comic company over
another. I try to buy good comics, not one brand or another.
However, I have ruefully noticed that 80% of my purchases are
of Marvel mags. I just wish the "On The Move" DC, would become
a little more "On the Improved Quality". The independents are
nice however...

RPGS

Have any of you guys tried out the latest Comic Book Role
Playing Games lately?? It might prove to be much needed balm
to all you arm-chair writers out there. I recomend Champions
or Superworld.

Well I'm all talked out...
