[net.comics] Warrior and Grendel

     I am GINO!

And now that we've gotten that out of the way.

Warrior is a British Import printed in a large magazine
format, and in black and white. It contains 4-7 continuing strips
per issue. Some of the art is excellent, and the stories range
from good to excellent. None of the creators should be familiar
to the American Public, but these people are good. I will
give you a quickie description on two or three strips.

My favorite strip is Marvelman. This seemed
strange to me at first, but it is excellent. The easiest way for me
to explain this strip is as an adult Captain Marvel. (the first
one). What would happen if the big red cheese came back today,
and had to deal with 1983. One of the others is what if one of
these goodguys (in this case Kid Marvelman) came back as
a good guy, but got sucked in to Absolute Power Corrupts
Absolutely.
Another strip is V for Vendetta. This seems to be a
Post Holocaust story, but the letters column promises that
I ain't seen nothing yet. I like it. Vendetta is done only in
black on white. No zip, no gray. It's something else.
All I can say about Laser Eraser and Pressbutton the
psychotic cyborg is read them. Good futuristic space opera,
with some neat twists.
Grendel is put out by the Comico company. I don't really
quite know what to make of it, except the story is
engaging. It seems to be something of a mystical oriental thing.
But I came in in issue 1, and it premiered in Comico Primer 2
[which I need, by the way].

     That's enough on that.

			      Still,
			      I am
