From: Mike Ciaraldi <ciaraldi> In the latest issue of Marvel Universe (#14, Book of the Dead and Inactive II), it says that Thanos is NOT dead!!!!! Instead he has just been turned to stone but is barely alive! Makes you wonder what he was doing in Marvel Graphic Novel #1, greeting Captain Marvel to the world of Death. I hear that Thanos (the original "Mr.T") will show up in the new Hercules mini-series. Mike Ciaraldi

Mike Ciaraldi wonders why Thanos greeted Captain Marvel to the world of Death. I wonder why the Silver Surfer was there on Titan at the time. Didn't Galactus do something to prevent The Surfer's escape from Earth? If you can't trust Galactus, who can you trust? Steve Uitti

mike (and everyone), 1. the reason thanos was the greeter of the dead seems simple enough. he was death's lover, nicht wahr? 2. as for good ol' norrin radd, of cour{e you can trust galactus. that's exactly the point. he let tss come to titan on his word of honor to return on time. after all, he wouldn't make his former herald miss the marvel universe event of the decade, right? evelyn (a modified dog)
