Oz, I definitely agree with you; I was terribly disappointed by MSH:TSW #1.
If nothing else, the heroes never stopped sniping at each other! All that
bickering was driving me up THE WALLS! I didn't have too much problem with the
Dr. Doom bit, after all, he flew off the handle pretty easily, too. What I
couldn't handle was that no one except the X-Men were willing to give Magneto
the benefit of the doubt.
I also noticed Charly was back in the wheelchair, but there are a few other
inconsistencies as well:

    (a) Where the hell did Rogue and Cyclops come from?! X-MEN #180 did not
show Rogue to be with the rest of the X-Men at the airport or at the
Sheep Meadow. And as far as Cyclops is concerned, he *definitely*
wasn't with the X-Men then (I'd grudgingly accept the explanation
that Romita just forgot to draw in Rogue, but not Cyke).

    (b) In FF #265, when Susan Richards sees the heroes come home, see mentions
seeing the X-Men, but the descriptions I've read of X-MEN #181 say that
the X-Men reappear on Earth in Tokyo.

    (c) Ben Grimm supposedly doesn't return to Earth with the others (and THING
#11 bears this out. So why is he going to be appearing in FF #266?

Psigh! Well, at least I can be happy that there seems to be more cross-cont-
inuity between THE X-MEN and THE NEW MUTANTS.

Another Secret Wars realted inconsistency was in the recent issue of the FF,
where Byrne demonstrates beyond doubt that he did not read the Hawkeye
limited series before writing dialogue for Mockingbird. She says that she
has only been married for five minutes. Wrongo, they eloped a few days or
weeks before! Apparently, Byrne thought the shindig in the Avengers was the
tail of the wedding, when in fact it was only a regular party.

This is not particularly surprising. Byrne has made it clear that he thinks
of himself as the only person at Marvel worth following. His ego is absurd.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the awful coloring and screwed up
printing on this garbage yet. Can anyone find anything that was done
RIGHT?
