From: akov68::boyajian Well, the latest issue of X-MEN answers a couple of questions I had from THE SECRET WARS: (1) Apparently, the X-Men *did* appear in Central Park along with the various other heroes, so Sue Richards, in the last FF, did see them there, though they weren't there for long before being zapped off to Japan (I would say 'twas the teleporting dragon that did't). (2) Cyclops apparently was zapped off to the Secret War from his honeymoon in Tahiti. I suppose it *was* a hasty assumption that he was with the X-Men when they appeared at the Secret War world, but then, nothing was said to this effect in MSH:TSW #1. Of course, this brings up a new puzzle: if the Beyonder could just zap anyone right from where he stood (as in the case of Cyclops), why did he need the large thingamajig in Central Park to zap all the others. And where did all the villains come from? Did each of them run across another structure, or did they, like Cyke, just get zapped individually? X-MEN also refers to a couple of things that happened during the Secret War that make it virtually impossible to not pick up the maxi-series to find out what goes on, such as Lockheed's "relationship" with the other dragon, and Colossus' remark about his "lost love" or somesuch. ---jayembee (Jerry Boyajian @ DEC Maynard) (decvax!decwrl!rhea!akov68!boyajian) P.S. Sorry to bore anyone who doesn't want to read about "the latest crap from Marvel".
