A few days ago, I saw a copy of Twisted Tales #5. The book looked interesting, so I went ahead and bought a set of issues 1-5. This is a very interesting comic book which is kind of like the EC horror comics of the 50's, but with more adult themes. This book comes out bi-monthly, and I would like something new to read every month or so. Has anyone read TT's "sister" publication "Alien Worlds"? If it is worthwhile, I can start reading both of these books and satisfy my monthly longings. David

I gave up on Twisted Tales after the first couple of issues. The violence and sex seemed a little too self serving. Alien Worlds seems a little better, but I still consider it a borderline case. The stories have not been overwhelming, but the art is not bad, and the recent issues seem to be improving. I would give it a B-. -- eric ...!seismo!umcp-cs!aplvax!eric

I don't intend this to be a review or anything. I was working a couple of weeks ago at the Comic Gallery in San Diego. (Free Plug) Bruce Jones and April Campbell came in, and to make a long story short, bought some things. Bruce and April asked about the sales on TT and AW, and the question was: Do we need to have a top artist in every issue, or can the artists be new or relatively unknown. I think they would be interested in what we have to say. If you send your answers to me, or out on the net, (it might be an interesting discussion), then I will forward them. By the way, the Comic Gallery has Nexus 1 (B&W) with the limited edition print. If you're interested, contact me, and I will give you the name or address or phone number. I am GINO!
