[net.comics] Spider-Man`s new clothes

My opinion on the new costume? What costume?! The damn thing is practically
solid black, and its not even black fabric -- it's this strange inky material
with the amazing property of obscuring most of Spidey's features (muscles,
contours, nose(!)) and thus enabling the artist(?) to draw the hero in an
average time of three seconds. It severely limits the range of bodily and
facial expression that can be given to him.

I agree with Scotty's point about the "magic" properties. A hero like Spider-
Man has no business dealing with "mystic" and "cosmic" forces. Let's keep
the fella down in the "real world" where he belongs!

I also seriously wonder how long this costume will actually be around. As a
long-time, and generally disillusioned Marvel fan, I can't count the number
of times an issue has promised, nay, screamed out on the cover: "This issue
things REALLY CHANGE!!!" But in 12 issues or so, it's all back to normal
again. Do you really think it will be different for TSW?
