Well, that poem by Yeats ("The Second Coming") seems to be a popular source of titles. Offhand, I can think of two novel with related titles. "Things Fall Apart" -- about disintegrating tribal society in Africa, by Chinua Achebe (SP?) "Return of the Sphinx" -- about radical Quebec seperatists, by a very well known Canadian author whose name escapes me. This one is a less direct reference to the line "some rough beast ..".
