[net.comics] DC comments from Marv Wolfman

brad@umcp-cs.UUCP (04/03/84)

The following are some comments from Marv Wolfman who has been occasionally
reading net.comics:

On Vigilante -- The book is becoming more grim beginning with issue 11 or
12, I forget which. I also have a two-part story being written by Alan
Moore which is great to give me some time while I do both Titans, Crisis:
Earth (History of the DC Universe), and Who's Who in the DC Universe.

About Titans -- the Terminator's origin needed that space [all of issue #
44] and, in fact, continues a bit into the annual -- he's a major character.
We [Marv and George Perez] kept trying to cut it and decided we couldn't
and shouldn't. By the way, issue #44 is a complete sell out. There are no
copies left for dealers to buy and DC has dealers demanding more copies. DC
finally has a book like Walt Simonson's first Thor or Spider-Man's new
costume. I'm proud.

About Omega Men -- Doug Moench does a really strong first storyline -- funny
as anything and completely off the wall. People may be surprised that this
is The Omega Men, but it not only is, it's also probably closer to my
interpretation of the characters than it had been before.

Star Trek is doing well. Hope people like it.

That's all the books I work on. You can let everyone else see this, however
let 'em also know if they respond I may or may not see any answers as I
don't do this regularly.
