[net.comics] First Comics to get Justice Machine

I have just received some information that may be of interest
to some of this community. It relates to the recent article
recounting a news item in The Comic Buyer's Guide. The CBG news item
related the seeming demise of Capitol and Texas comics companies, as
well as the problems at Comico. My source has been in contact with
First Comics, and it seems 99% certain they will pick up Justice
Machine from Texas Comics, and, failing that, The Elementals from
the same (defunct) company. In either case, the first First issue
should be out by summer. If the above seems convoluted, I apologise,
but that's the way I got it from my source. If you are a fan of the
Justice Machine as I am, this is happy news indeed. I find First
to be the best of all possible worlds as a comic book company: You
get the advantages of an "alternative" comic book company, but with
a "get-those-issues-out-when-promised" publishing reliability record
that is second to none, including the Big Two. It is amazing to many,
both in and out of the industry, but First doesn't ever seem to produce
a late issue. I have rambled on too long for information content here.

Was your source able to find out if any of Capitol's titles were picked up
by First?

Moriarity asks if my source knows if any of the Capitol
characters will be picked up by First Comics. I have no more
information at this time, but take heart. My source and I both
have a great deal of interest in the Capitol characters as well,
and he has been "keeping an ear to the ground" on all related matters,
especially with First Comics, who he communicates with directly.
First has been keeping him well informed on this, and he has
been keeping me well informed also. We talk at least once a week,
and I will let the net know right away of any developments, unless
they are already covered on the net or in the Comic Buyers Guide (CBG).
Obviously, we already have a correspondent for such matters from CBG.

Waiting for such news with worms on my tongue, (baited breath)
