[net.comics] Camelot 3000 & the Emerald City

The look of colors in Baxter (or any of the higher quality papers)
is a function of the experience of the colorist with those papers;
NOT the paper itself. "Normal" paper absorbs the colors more than
Baxter, so if the colorist uses his/her normal tones on Baxter paper,
it comes out garish. Baxter paper allows a wider range of tones so,
done properly, it can be much more pleasing than normal paper. See
any of Capitol's former titles, Alien Legion, Thriller, the Starslammer
graphic novel, and the Valerian graphic novels (Dargaud) for a good
example of proper coloring on high quality paper. For more information
on the difference between coloring different grades of paper, read
the interview with Tom Ziuko in COMICS INTERVIEW #8.
