Back again from the Comics store, with a few comments: Capn Quick & a Foozle: This gets better with every reading, although I do wonder whether I should be under the influence of some hallucinogen when I read it. 'I am not a rodent!', lovely, lots of hidden (and not so hidden) jokes. LSH #3: Well, kiddies, a member is gonna be trashed in the next issue, wanna place bets? What the heck is wrong with Saturn Girl? This 'whatever you say dear' garbage is *totally* out of character. That baby couldn't have quieted he down *that* much. Infinity Inc: The story line is fine, but lets get it OVER WITH! Is Steve Trevor really dead? Does the USA have a extradition treaty with Amazon Island? And where did Power Girl go? I do believe that Brain-Wave jr can probably hide the fact that his heart is beating from just about anyone. Dr Who #1: Well, Marvel has taken a perfectly good idea, and once again, trashed it beyond all recognition. Uh, guys (marvel people), in case you haven't noticed, we have gone through two more doctors since Marvel Premiere, back in 79-80. Do you just have a large backlog of Tom Baker stuff? If you do, then why did you take up 1/2 of the magazine with a non-doctor story? The title of this magazine is not 'The Fourth Doctor, and stories about Daleks'. Will you people stop playing to the lowest common denominator?! Crossfire 1 & 2 (why we get issue #1 after #2 so consistently here is beyond me): A reasonably adult theme, without getting preachy. I do; however, keep expecting to see Nemesis pop up. Must be the artwork... till next time... Laurie/pucc-k:afo
