[net.comics] European comics

boyajian@akov68.DEC (Jerry Boyajian) (08/02/84)

It figures. Just as I begin my series of articles on British comics, the fanzine
AMAZING HEROES comes out with an issue on "The Eurpopean Invasion". Included are
five articles (in addition to the regular features, of course):

(1) "The British Invasion": A brief checklist of the various writers and artists
	in the U.K.
(2) "Dredd Reckoning": A "Hero History" of Judge Dredd (how the character was
created, and a run-down of his various adventures in the comic 2000 AD.
(3) "Rule Britannia": A "Hero History" of Marvel's Captain Britain.
(4) "'Zines Across the Ocean": A guide to British fanzines.
(5) "The French Connection": A discussion of Dargaud's graphic novel series.

My articles have a different focus than the ones in AH, so I will continue with
them, but anyone who's interested in learning about European (read: British and
French) comics could learn a fair amount by picking this issue up. It's issue
#52, 1 August 1984.
