Personally, I hope it's much *better* than #175 (which I thought was a bit of a
dud). I should have some comments on X-MEN #188 in my next batch of reviews.

First of all, to be picayune, the convention (the World Science Fiction Conven-
tion) was in LA, not SF. be that as it may, I just talked with my girlfriend
tonight, who went to the con, and she said that ELFQUEST #20 was definitely
there. Issue #21 didn't affect the deadline, since the Pinis wanted to hold a
"Quest's End" party at the Worldcon.

Well, I agree with the first part --- Sienkiewicz's (I'm getting good at this!)
art doesn't belong on THE NEW MUTANTS. I can't agree with your later statement,
though, which I interpreted to mean that his impressionistic art style doesn't
belong in comics, period.

#150 was the (so far) last fight the X-Men had with Magneto. #100 was a real
biggie: the X-Men fought what was at the time the newest model of Sentinels,
and during re-entry (they had been up at the old abandoned S.H.I.E.L.D. Space
Station), Jean Grey (as Marvel Girl) died for the first time, to be reborn in
#101 as Phoenix.

I'm waiting for the issue in which Scott & Maddy drop by the mansion and meet
Rachel. Boy, is that gonna be a scene! Rachel is gonna *freak*!
