I recently bought a copy of the Goodman Beaver reprint book. I guess I should first admit that I had never heard of Goodman Beaver before. Alright, stone me, but I am not very good on comic history (on the other hand, I have been around long enough to spot a Jack Kirby drawing with just one squared off finger). Be that as it may, the stories are quite funny, the artwork is great (you have to look all around the panels for extra puns and sight gags, but believe me they are worth it) and some of them even make real points. My major complaint is that there aren't enough stories. I was talked into the $25 deluxe version (everybody in unison, one, two three 'SUCKER') and should have bought the soft- cover.
