Some reviews I forgot the last time (a separate message will cover the three
recent X-titles. Once again, I'm using Jeff Meyer's rating system:

****************************************************************************
==>A< One of the best of the year. Example: Byrne/Claremont's Starlord
==>B< A very good issue, one of the best of the month (usually 6/month)
==>C< A well done, entertaining issue. Satisfying. Example: Jon Sable
==>D< Rather boring, or a few good spots mixed with more bad ones. Ex:Mars
==>F< Boring AND stupid or childish. Example: Secret Wars.
==>Z< Actually offensive. Example: Several of Haney's UNKNOWN SOLDIERs

CEREBUS THE AARDVARK #65	B+
Not much to say about it, really. Just that I thought it was the fun-
niest issue of CEREBUS to come along in a long time. As far as the "Unique
Story" goes: maybe I'm being obtuse, but I don't get the point (Is there one?).

JOURNEY #13	B+
Bringing Normalman into the story was pretty risky, but Bill Messner-
Loebs manages to bring it off. First of all, Normalman's character is subtley
different, possibly due to the fact that MacAlistaire and Runs-Amid-Bones-of-
Foxes treats Normy with kindness and respect. I'm curious about how this esca-
pade will affect Normy's self-confidence in future issues of his own title (I'll
be rather disappointed if it doesn't). Of course the highlight was the song that
Norm was singing while taking a bath. anyone else recognize it?

And last, but not least, I thought I'd toss in an excerpt from the DEC Easynet
comics notesfile:

It's amazing how the last issue of SUPER POWERS was so much better than previous
issues by having Jack Kirby do the writing and pencilling. Not that it was earth
shaking material, but the first four issues weren't suitable to line bird-cages
with--- well, no, maybe they *are* suitable to line bird-cages with...

No they aren't. You're supposed to line bird cages with a material
that's distinguishable from bird droppings.
