I've seen ads (on the back cover of Dreadstar) for an upcoming Epic comic
called "Black Dragon", written by Chris Claremont and drawn by John Bolton.
Does anyone know what this will be about? (The ad had a nice color illustra-
tion by Bolton of a knight in armor with a sword, so I assume that the book
will have some sort of medival setting--an interesting change of pace for
Claremont.) Anyone have a clue as to how soon the the book starts, and how
soon often it will be published? Also, can anyone fill me on on this
Bolton guy--who he is, what he is drawing/has drawn?
Speaking of Dreadstar--the end of issue 14 was pretty depressing. It's
not often that you see a group get trashed as totally as Dreadstar et al just
did. I really can't see how the book is going to continue without resorting
to some cheap deus-ex-machina. But that's not Starlin's style, and as the
editors pointed out at the end of the issue, chances are slim that the book
will be retitled "High Lord Papal and Company" or even "Deadstar" [:-)].
Any speculation?
