About all the "revolutionary" changes taking place at DC and Marvel: These recent changes have virtually all been to increase sales, often in books that have uneven or wavering support. Most of them are not permanent, even when the company(ies) claim them to be so. Specifics: (1) Don Blake- A throwaway character, for sure. The Avengers just need to find a new "live-in" doctor. (2) Fantastic Four- The Thing will be back together with them soon; She-Hulk only took up the slack in the "Clobberin'" department temporarily. (3) Spiderman's Costume- This one was a big BS campaign by Shooter to sell books. Who would want to miss THE issue where Spidey changes his costume? He's already back in his old one, probably for good. (4) "Black" Lantern- Hal Jordan will be back as GL within a year or so. (5) Iron Man- Ditto for Tony Stark, but may take longer. (6) Justice League- As soon as the sales for this book REALLY drop off (10-15 issues) we'll be seeing much more of the old guard. Conway has said the other heroes will be around from time to time; I believe they'll be around much more, and that the "kids" will eventually be phased out (I Hope!). (7) Flash- Flash will be aquitted (probably because Prof. Zoom will show up at the trial), and will likely find a way to get his Barry Allen identity back as well. The Reverse Flash is/was too good a villain to lose--the classic opposite a la Sinestro, Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, etc. Scott J. Berry
