Could someone please tell me what's happening in X-MEN??? I've heard talk of anti-mutant sympathy, but none of that is happening in ALPHA FLIGHT. Also, I've seen these adds for DAZZLER with the word "mutie" scrawled over her face. What is happening? Forgive my ignorance, please. -- Tracy A. Also, I've seen these ads for DAZZLER The anti-mutant storyline has been shown in Alpha Flight as well, Tracy. In #17 Aurora (SPOILER WARNING) has her powers changed by Dr. Langkowski so she doesn't show up as a mutant anymore. A lot of good that'll do her when they start using "hounds" (see X-Men #189)... With any luck at all, Dazzler is going to be found dead in a garbage can (along with a big stack of her graphic novels). :-) Carl, President of the Deadly Midget Fan Club ..!ctvax!uokvax!lmaher

I've An excellent history of the New X-Men can be found in the most recent issue of Amazing Heroes (#55). The Old X-Men were covered in the previous issue. The author, R. A. Jones, makes a few slips, but gets most of it (i.e. don't rely on it for a trivia contest, but it's usually right). Ignore the last half page, where Jones goes off into his own little world and suggests Storm's love for Kitty is homosexual. There's also an interview with Bill S-word, where he generally expresses contempt for drawing the new mutants in a recognizable fashion. I'm being a little harsh, but I wish he'd go back to Moon Knight and leave the Newts in peace. He does mention Ralph Steadman, and any fan of Steadman can't be all bad. Carl ..!ctvax!uokvax!lmaher
