I got to the point where the head cop says "Did Sable have a gun?" and flipped back to see where he had acquired it. (no, this isn't a spoiler, since I'm not going to tell you what he did with it, which is the point of this isssue's story...) Well, Sable had pulled a Deringer or whatever out of his waistband, revealing his belt buckle. The buckle has a five-pointed star with a hammer-and-sickle in the middle. Russian army belt buckle, maybe? I wonnder if there's a story behind it? Also, Sable has just come back from a meeting with his editor and then decides to go down to the store. So presumably he always carries that gun tucked in his pants. So, when Eden Kendall says, "Is that a pistol in your pocket, or are you glad to see me?" she may know what she's talking about!
