[net.comics] Early FF query

pur-phy!dub sez:

   1) When Doom fights with the Fantastic Four, he mentions how
his hand was injured while fighting with the Thing. There is
no reference at this point. Could anyone tell me a reference?

In previous issues, the FF had been turned back to normal (I think)
due to radiation from a bomb set off by the Frightful Four.
They had to turn Ben back into the Thing in order to fight Doom,
and Ben was so mad that he crushed Doom's hands. Personally I
would have ripped Doom's lips off.

   2) The other question has to do with Doom riding the flying
board into space. After running into Galactus's barrier, Doom
falls to earth. But does he still possess the "power cosmic"?
We aren't told and, after doing some research, I can't find the
      answer. Does anyoen know?

He seemed not to possess it, but in recent FF issues, he somehow
gives it to Terrax. I don't know where it was all this time.
Also, hasn't the Surfer plowed into the barrier many times without
losing his power? Ah, no, it must have been that the shock of
ramming the barrier shook loose the barely-held power from Doom and
it naturally went back to the Surfer. Yeah, sure.

Greetings readers,
I have two questions which, hopefully, you can answer for me.
They arise from a recent reading of the early Fantastic Four (57-60).
In these issues, Doom manages to steal the Silver Surfers cosmic power.
