in response to the comments about eisner.... many of you will remember
i'm sure, the man-hunter backup in detective in the early 70's... by
goodwin and simonson.... now, there is a classic example of style and
dense action..... thought they admittedly "borrowed" heavily from the
spirit... in my book... manhunter ranks among the great classics of
the late silver age....

	For those interested, DC put out a special issue about a year ago
that collected all of the Manhunter stories into a single book. Also the text
in the book lists some of the many awards that the series one. It is one of
my favorite stories, although the ending was less than spectacular.
