[net.comics] Questions of the distant past

dub@pur-phy.UUCP (Paul Simmington) (11/11/84)

     Readers of the Net,
For sometime I have been reading the articles that are
an expression of peoples beliefs and criticisms of comics. Some
people, like myself, read only one comic company while others
have a more varied taste. But we all discuss what happens to
storylines and character development.
It's not unknown that I favor Marvel, but after reading
Teen Titans #50, I can see how I had a rather narrow perspective.
It's also no mystery that by far my favorite characters
are always controversial. People liek Doom and Galactus and
Juggie are but a few on my list. After reading many issues of the
Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer series, I do have some questions
which, hopefully, some people on the net could help me out on.

1)	We all know that whe a being becomes a herald of Galactus
they are granted powers beyond our scope of understanding. But
when a herald leaves by their own choice or other circumstances,
does a herald remain immortal or do they lose that, too?

2)	This one is in two parts and maybe people in Massachusetts
could help me out. I get all my net news through a buddy of
mine <the absolute nicest bachelor this side of Asgard...yours
truly :-) > and I'm wondering the following:
	a) Is there a school (or place) withing the Boston area
that has a link-up with the net that I can use?
	b) Is there an established (or anykind) club of college
students who meet to discuss comics in the Boston area?
Any information about either of these would be greatly appreciated.
		Until later Taa Taa,
