Paul - your inquiry set me thinking about where in fact i had actually seen the reference to the distinction between the big g's home and ship... now that i think about it, it was in the Micheal epic in the Avengers.... Micheal was formerly a whimpy villians from the guardians of the galaxy time-frame who had been beaten all over hell and gone by such noteables as doc strange, thor and the guardians of the galaxy (the time doc strange beat him by the way is a classic story... one of the early defenders annuals... great stuff) anyway... this villian... korvac in his whimpy days, was wandering aimlessly through the universe licking his wounds after one of his multiple defeats when he stumbles across *GALACTUS' HOME* the big g's infinity abode... by this time the big g is long dead, and the home is floating randomly... korvac, being half computer, attempts to log on to galactus' computers, gets zapped and infused with more power than he should have... he turns into micheal, a cosmic baddie bent on "ordering the universe", and he comes back to our time to start re- shaping this reality... he tangles with all the avengers who have ever belonged to the club, and single-handedly kills them all... then in the final moments facing thor and wonder-man and a couple of others, he sees his beloved wife, and detects a trace of doubt in her eyes , and that's it folks... he loses... he commits cosmic hari kari, and with his dying energy, brings all of the dead avengers back to life... a good follow-up to this appeared in what if... what if micheal had won.... and of course the universe dies... anyway.... that's where i saw it... -mark
