[net.comics] Daredevil, Gloriana O'Breen, and the IRA

Well, I was just wandering by, looking for a mindless read,
when I happened to get the latest copy of Daredevil. Much to my
surprise, he now has a lady-friend who is not only Irish, but is a
sympathiser with the IRA. Now, how is Marvel gonna work their way
out of this one? I mean, you can take a stand on bizarre (in this
case, unknown) religions (such as the bunch of monks with Elektra:
hey, remember Elektra? Now, *that* was a character) and get away
with it. But the IRA? Heck, look what is going on here with the
IRA, and most of us are intelligent. I suppose they could try and
get away with making all the characters involved to look like
they're wrong, but somehow, I smell a bit of Marvel brand moralism
wafting in the air.....
