I am tired of the X-Men, alpha flight, avengers, defenders, secret shitwars, et al. Currently I read a lot of independent stuff-grimjack,jon sable, twisted tales, etc etc. Anyone got any suggestions for good comics to read, I guess you can infer something of my taste from the above. If not, I would prefer to give up comics altogether. -Nick "tired of the same shit, and wanna get work done" Flor

Some of these suggestions may be redundant, but here goes: NEXUS - you will believe a comic can fly! AZTEC ACE - meticulous, artsy but intriguing ROCKETEER - if you can get into period pieces MARVELMAN - either dig up the old issues of WARRIOR, or wait for the American reissues sometime this year V FOR VENDETTA - again, in WARRIOR SOMERSET HOLMES - recently deceased, worth exhuming Now the following recommendations come with a caveat. They demand a mind open enough to come to grips with artistic styles of varying unconventionality. Many people can't accept the appearance of these comics, and miss some truly amazing characters, stories, worlds, etc. in the process: LOVE & ROCKETS - all-time personal fave MR. X ZOT! MAGE MECHANICS - miniseries to be released later this year Also, I haven't seen Vortex's new THOSE ANNOYING POST BROS. yet, but it seems promising from the ads, etc. There may be more that don't come to mind just now, but anyways... none of the above is the Same Old Crap. You might like some. The Gray Mouser
