*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE!! *** I was incredibly disappointed, on reading the last version of ROM to find that it had been co-drawn by Ditko. You couldn't even recognize the regular characters! I couldn't even figure out who the woman whining: "But you can't leave." to ROM was, although from the dialog, it obviously WAS supposed to be Brandy Clark, a character easily recognized by ROM fans. Somehow, Brandy had been replaced by a Ditko-drawn clone. It seems to me that Ditko is more of a menace to the marvelverse than the dire wraiths ever were. How can ROM fight against this menace? Did you ever notice that when they suddenly slide Ditko into the artist seat on a title, that USUALLY, the cover is either done by someone else or Ditko does enough work on it that it's not obvious at first glance that it was done by Ditko? They KNOW that there are lots of us out here who won't buy an issue if we know that Ditko drew it. I mean, everyone (even Rom in some of the panels) gets this egg-shaped head, a sunken chin, and teeth that are fused into a solid mass, no matter how 'close up' the drawing is. Sometimes the good guys are drawn with wierd malevolent grins on their faces, or evil glints in their eyes for no apparent reason. I don't know why Ditko does this, unless he's just such a lame excuse for an artist that he can't help it. Is this going to be the last issue of Rom? It's certainly the last one I'll buy until Ditko is shuffled off to ruin the art in some other title. Too bad Rom just couldn't adjust his neutralizer to banish Ditko to Limbo. -- Jeff Sonntag ihnp4!mhuxt!js2j "You see, we KNEW he'd lost control when he built a fire on Main Street and shot it full of holes." - Dylan
