[net.comics] Repost --- Best/Worst of 1984 Poll

hsut@ee.UUCP (02/04/85)

This is a reposting of the Best/Worst of 1984 poll. I'm putting
no strict restrictions on cover dates of nominations, but please be
reasonable (most of the early respondents have been, thanks!). Your votes
will be scored thus: 5 points for first choice, 3 for second and 1 for
third. Feel free to declare ties. All honorable mentions will be listed.
The categories are:

Best/Worst Continuing Series of 1984
Best/Worst Limited Series of 1984
B/W Single Issue
B/W Independent (this category is becoming somewhat redundant, since most
of the votes I got were for independents anyway!)
B/W Writer
B/W Artist/Team of Artists
B/W New Talent

Feel free to add "Special Awards", e.g. most inane, meaningless,
offensive and over-hyped series of all time written by former Legion of
Super Heroes writers whose first name is Jim, etc.

Once again, have fun! I'll keep the poll open for another two
weeks, unless the volume of votes (or lack thereof) indicates that I
change the deadline.

Dear Bill,

Being a functional computer illiterate, I have not yet learned to
send things directly to individuals, but I want to vote in your
poll, so I'm posting it on the net for the whole world to deride.
Hope you see this and can accept it.
