[net.comics] Moriarty laments Aparo

tim@cmu-cs-k.ARPA (Tim Maroney) (02/18/85)

Yes, it is sort of too bad about Aparo leaving the Outsiders; his work was
nearly perfect for the comic. Before you jump out any windows, though, I
suggest taking a look at his replacement: Alan Davis! Yes, the marvelous
artist on Warrior's Marvelman! His sense of composition and drama is
extraordinary, his technical skill abundant. Although Alan Moore certainly
has something to do with it, Davis' art is really what makes Marvelman the
most gripping superhero series being published.

I have no doubt that Davis will be a worthy successor to Aparo. I'm very
much looking forward to future issues of the Outsiders.

By the way, in case anyone didn't know, BATO is becoming DC's third
dual-distribution book this summer, following the (unsuccessful, if you ask
me) lead of Teen Titans and the Legion.
