While on vacation in France, I turned on the tube. There was a very nice
animated space adventure, which I thought at first was Starblazers. But
the credits showed all French names. I can no longer remember the name (I
don't know French anyway, so what am I saying?) but I liked the animation.
They had an interesting technique of doing zooms and pans, where e.g. the
foreground characters would go out of focus as a distant spaceship came
into focus. Can anyone identify the show or shed more light on French
cartoons?
P.S. They also had a wonderful variety/talk show spoof hosted by two
puppets, a cat and an ostrich, called Telechat!

When I was living in France (about 5 years ago) all the animation was Japanese shows with French dubbing. I would not be surprised if French television showed just the French credits for the show, with maybe a small byline somewhere saying it was originally some other show done by the Japanese. -- eric ...!seismo!umcp-cs!aplvax!osiris!eric
